Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and technically proficient Technical Administrator to support our production and procurement processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and bills of materials (BOMs).

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Documentation
    • Interpret engineering drawings and bills of materials (BOMs) to produce clear, accurate production instructions.
    • Develop and maintain technical documentation for manufacturing processes.
    • Update records with engineering changes and ensure all technical documents are current.
  • Production Support
    • Work closely with design and engineering teams to ensure the smooth transfer of technical information to production teams.
    • Provide technical assistance to production staff to ensure correct implementation of instructions and specifications.
  • Procurement & Buying
    • Source and purchase electrical and mechanical components required for production.
    • Manage supplier relationships, negotiate prices, and track the timely delivery of materials.
    • Monitor inventory levels to ensure production schedules are met without delays.
    • Work with finance to ensure that procurement activities stay within budget.
  • Administrative Support
    • Maintain and update technical databases and documentation.
    • Track project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure smooth operations.
    • Prepare reports and data analysis for management when required.
Key Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Technical Administrator, Production Coordinator, or in a similar role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and bills of materials (BOMs).
  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical components, ideally in a switchgear or similar industry.
  • Excellent administrative skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with ERP/MRP systems.
  • Experience in procurement, including vendor management and negotiating terms.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
