We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Degree Apprentice Therapeutic Radiographer. This exciting opportunity will provide you with the chance to develop your skills and knowledge in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Job SummaryThis is a unique opportunity to embark on a three-year Degree Apprenticeship in Therapeutic Radiography, working alongside experienced professionals in a state-of-the-art radiotherapy department. As a Degree Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience, develop your clinical skills, and work towards achieving a BSc (Hons) degree in Therapeutic Radiography.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the daily workload of the department, liaising with portering service, administration staff, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to facilitate the coordination of patient appointments.
- Under the supervision of a registered practitioner, operate radiotherapy equipment in both the treatment areas and the pre-treatment area.
- Maintain a high professional standard of patient care through the interpretation of treatment plans and the accurate delivery of treatment techniques using analytical, judgment, communication, and organizational skills to a high standard while under supervision.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- 2 GCSE passes at grade C or grade 4 and above, including Mathematics, English language or literature, or equivalent literacy and numeracy qualifications.
- 120 UCAS points from 3 A levels, or equivalent from national BTEC qualifications, extended diploma in applied science, health science, or health studies, or successful completion of an Access to HE Diploma in health studies, health science, nursing, or another science-based course.
- Experience in a caring environment, excellent communication skills, excellent organizational skills, experience of dealing with the general public, and knowledge/experience of a radiotherapy department.
