Degree Apprentice – Trainee Therapeutic Radiographer

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Degree Apprentice – Trainee Therapeutic Radiographer. This exciting opportunity will provide you with the chance to develop your skills and knowledge in a supportive environment, working alongside experienced professionals in the field of therapeutic radiography.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily workload of the department, liaising with portering service, administration staff and other members of the MDT to facilitate the co-ordination of patient appointments.
- Under the supervision of a registered practitioner operate radiotherapy equipment in both the treatment areas as well as in the pre-treatment area.
- Maintain a high professional standard of patient care through the interpretation of treatment plans and the accurate delivery of treatment techniques using analytical, judgement, communication and organisational skills to a high standard while under supervision.
Training and Development
As a Degree Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to complete a BSc (Hons) degree in Therapeutic Radiography, approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). You will also receive ongoing professional development, with links to Sheffield Hallam University to support your learning.
Requirements
- 2 GCSE passes at grade C or grade 4 and above including Mathematics, English language or literature. Level 2 equivalent literacy & numeracy qualifications will be accepted.
- 120 UCAS points from 3 A levels. Or equivalent from national BTEC qualifications extended diploma in applied science, health science or health studies. OR Successful completion of an Access to HE Diploma in health studies, health science, nursing, or another science-based course. OR Access course not listed, OR Previous degree in a related subject. OR Evidence of successful formal accredited study at level 3 and a minimum of 6 months experience in a health and social care capacity
