Asset Manager – Public Sector – Contract

g2 Recruitment is currently working alongside a local authority in the Southeast of England and they are seeking an experienced Asset Manager to join their team.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing large-scale projects from inception to completion, with a particular emphasis on disposal projects.

The local authority is looking to develop their asset management department and needs a professional leader to manage and oversee the team.

The council aims to increase its efficiency and cost-effectiveness by restructuring its asset portfolio.

The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of related experience in the field, with a strong understanding of legislation and estate surveying.

They will be responsible for managing a wide array of government assets and portfolios, and will require a full driver's license.

The role is outside IR-35 and offers a hybrid working scheme with 2 days in the office and 3 days remote work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage large-scale projects from inception to completion
  • Develop and implement asset management strategies
  • Oversee the team and ensure efficient asset portfolio management
  • Ensure compliance with legislation and regulations
  • Manage a wide array of government assets and portfolios

Requirements:

  • At least 10 years of related experience in the field
  • Strong understanding of legislation and estate surveying
  • Full driver's license
  • Ability to work in a hybrid working scheme
