Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional Domestic Sales Manager Professional to join our team at World Fuel Services. This key leadership role will be responsible for driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and fostering a high-performance culture.

About the Role

The successful candidate will report directly to the Domestic Sales Manager and will be accountable for managing and leading a team of domestic sales personnel. The ideal candidate will have experience in telephone sales and customer service, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Sales Manager and perform management duties when necessary, including pricing and resource management.
  • Provide encouragement to team members, communicate team goals, and identify areas for new training or skill checks.
  • Answer team member questions, help with team member problems, and oversee team member work for quality and guideline compliance.
  • Communicate deadlines and sales goals to team members.
  • Develop strategies to promote team member adherence to company processes and procedures.
  • Conduct team meetings to update members on best practices and continuing expectations.
  • Embed a health and safety-focused culture across the sales team, working in partnership with operational and health and safety colleagues.
  • Responsibility for training, coaching, development, and management of all team members, assisting management with recruitment processes and new team member training.
  • Generate and share comprehensive reports about team performance, mission-related objectives, and deadlines with the Sales Manager.
  • Provide quality customer service, interacting with customers, answering customer inquiries, and effectively handling customer complaints.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key domestic sales partners, such as syndicate organizers.
  • Help the Sales Manager develop domestic sales strategies to support company goals for growth across the domestic market, including upselling various products and services.
  • Be actively involved in taking orders, speaking with customers, and demonstrating 'best in class' sales and customer service levels to the team.
Requirements:
  • Telephone sales and customer service experience is essential.
  • Excellent customer service skills are essential.
  • Experience supporting the training and development of personnel within a customer services or sales call center environment is essential.
  • Experience in sales management is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership skills are highly desirable.
  • A full UK driving license and ability to travel within a geographic remit is essential.
  • Strong data entry skills and high levels of accuracy are essential.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills are essential.
  • Strong attention to detail is essential.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently is essential.
Salary and Benefits:

Our salary range for this position is £40,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a bonus scheme, pension plan, and opportunities for career advancement.
