Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and caring individual to join our team as a Care Assistant at Lawnfield House in Newcastle. The successful candidate will have a passion for delivering high-quality care and support to our residents, while upholding the Christian ethos of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a residential care setting, where you will be responsible for providing person-centred care and support to our residents. You will work closely with our experienced team to ensure that our residents receive the highest level of care and support, promoting their dignity, well-being, and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality care and support to residents, including personal care tasks
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues
  • Participate in social and recreational activities within the home
  • Administer medication after training
  • Complete written records as required

Requirements:

  • Qualifications in health and social care or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and night shifts
  • Commitment to upholding the Christian ethos of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland

Salary: £11.63-£11.73 per hour (dependent on qualifications)
