Job Description:

Sustainable Chemistry Project Manager

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Sustainable Chemistry Project Manager to join our team at The Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC). This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development and delivery of projects that drive sustainability in chemistry.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in chemistry and a passion for sustainability. They will be responsible for leading project teams, scoping and prioritising projects, working with colleagues to identify and evaluate opportunities, and developing effective relationships with our member and journal communities.

This is a full-time contractually based role, initially based at our Cambridge office, but with flexibility to work from home within the UK. You will be expected to attend the office a minimum of two days per week and travel for meetings and events.

We offer a competitive salary range of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including hybrid working, professional development opportunities, and a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead project teams to deliver sustainable chemistry projects
  • Scope and prioritise projects to drive sustainability in chemistry
  • Work with colleagues to identify and evaluate opportunities for sustainable chemistry
  • Develop effective relationships with our member and journal communities
  • Travel for meetings and events as required
