The Royal Society of Chemistry is seeking a highly skilled Publishing Manager to join our team on a part-time, temporary basis for 12 months. Located in Cambridge, this role offers the opportunity to work on a subset of our prestigious journals, including Materials Horizons, Nanoscale Horizons, Journals of Materials Chemistry A, B, & C, and Nanoscale.

As a Publishing Manager, you will be responsible for managing the editorial process, from manuscript submission to final publication. You will also contribute to the development of our journals and play a key role in ensuring their smooth operation.

We offer a competitive salary of £38,000 per annum, plus benefits, to support your professional growth and well-being. Our office is located in Cambridge, but we provide flexible working arrangements, allowing you to work from home within the UK.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in science;
  • Experience in STM publishing;
  • Leadership and management skills;
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills;
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
