Security Officer - Belfast International Airport

Optime Group is seeking a skilled Security Officer to join our team at Belfast International Airport. As a Security Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of airport visitors and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough searches of individuals and baggage to prevent prohibited items from entering secure areas.
  • Patrol airport areas, including airside and landside locations, to detect and respond to potential security threats.
  • Investigate incidents and complete detailed reports to ensure accurate documentation.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to airport visitors, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a safe and secure environment, adhering to strict protocols and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Strong observational skills and attention to detail to identify potential security risks.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical fitness and ability to stand for extended periods, performing routine security tasks.
  • Proof of National Insurance and current address.
  • Successful candidates will undergo a basic criminal record check, in line with CAA requirements.

  • A competitive rate of pay, increasing to £12.60 per hour once X-ray trained.
  • A 4on 2 off shift pattern, with early and late shifts available.
