Job Description:

The Activities Coordinator will be responsible for creating a stimulating environment that promotes social interaction, emotional well-being, and cognitive function among residents. This will involve planning and coordinating group activities, collaborating with the care team and families, and maintaining accurate records of resident participation and feedback.

Responsibilities:
  • Planning and Coordination: Develop and implement activity plans that cater to the diverse needs and interests of residents.
  • Communication: Liaise with the care team, families, and external partners to ensure smooth execution of activities.
  • Feedback and Evaluation: Gather and record feedback from residents and families to inform future activity planning.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Education and Experience: A degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in activity coordination is required.
  • Skill Set: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills are essential.
  • Care Approach: Knowledge of person-centred care approaches and the specific needs of individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments is necessary.
