Job Overview
Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team in Reading. As a Band 5 Occupational Therapist, you will have the opportunity to work in a diverse role that offers a wealth of experience in both adult mental health and physical rehab support services.
Main Responsibilities
- Participate in the band 5 rotation, rotating every 8 months following discussion with line manager and Occupational Therapy professional lead.
- Plan and organise a designated caseload of patients and their own professional activities under the supervision of a senior qualified Therapist.
- Work with patients and carers to identify therapy goals using standardised and non-standardised assessment tools to assess their skill deficits and occupational needs.
- Monitor, evaluate and modify treatment interventions to measure progress and ensure effectiveness.
- Contribute specific Occupational Therapy knowledge and skills to the multi-professional team.
- Participate in supervision of junior staff and students as required.
