Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Manager to join our team at the Crown Commercial Service. As a key member of our Category team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of commercial agreements, driving value for money, and delivering excellent customer satisfaction.

The Role

Reporting to a Commercial Lead, you will be responsible for directing the end-to-end category management of our existing and/or future commercial agreements. This will involve leading on supplier and customer relationship management, identifying opportunities for improvement, and driving value for money.

You will work collaboratively with suppliers to identify and drive customer-focused initiatives, networks, and forums that will drive better buying behaviors and value across the public sector. You will also be responsible for proactively counseling on customer relationship management activities, building strong relationships with key customers, and comprehending their business needs and intent.

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with experience in category/commercial agreement management, with a track record of directing performance, developing and maintaining robust category strategies/plans, and delivering excellent customer satisfaction/value for money.

The ideal candidate will have strong commercial acumen, with the ability to assess data and make informed commercial decisions in a complex commercial environment. They will also have proven experience leading on supplier and customer relationship management, and be able to motivate, influence, and persuade internal and external stakeholders of varying seniority.

Benefits
