Position: Lead Delegated Authority Specialist

Overview

This role presents an exceptional opportunity to become a key player in a rapidly expanding Lloyd's Syndicate, contributing significantly to the Delegated Authority Unit (DUA) under the guidance of the Head of Delegated Authority.

The Lead Delegated Authority Specialist will play a crucial role in the effective development and execution of the Syndicate's Delegated Authority strategy, emphasizing support for Underwriters, thorough due diligence, and audit oversight.

Your responsibilities will include assisting the Syndicate's Delegated Authority (DA) operations, primarily focusing on Underwriters, by drafting delegated authority agreements that align with the Company's Delegated Authority Framework. You will also engage in process and system enhancements while providing mentorship to junior team members.

We are interested in candidates who possess:

  • Significant experience in a Delegated Authorities capacity within an insurance organization, preferably in the Lloyd's sector.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, along with strong due diligence and investigative capabilities.
  • Robust analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • A commitment to developing and mentoring junior staff within the DA Team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, enabling effective communication with individuals at all organizational levels in a confident and professional manner.
  • Proficiency in IT, with experience in third-party Lloyd's management systems such as DCOM, DAM, Lineage, Atlas, Crystal, DDM, and VIPR's Intrali & LWR.
