Austin Fraser is seeking an experienced Construction Materials Science Manager to join their client's team in the South East. As a leader in the field of construction materials testing, this role offers the opportunity to work with a highly competitive company and take charge of a specialist team.

The successful Construction Materials Science Manager will be responsible for managing all construction materials testing covering aggregates, asphalt, or concrete. This includes designing and developing testing procedures, leading and coaching a laboratory team, and ensuring all work is carried out to the relevant quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead all physical testing of materials within the laboratory.
  • Design and develop testing procedures.
  • Lead, coach, and monitor a laboratory team.
  • Troubleshoot testing methods and oversee maintenance of equipment.
  • Ensure all work is carried out to the relevant quality standards and maintain the QMS.
  • Manage all projects from conception/proposal through to completion.

Salary: The salary for this role is estimated to be around £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
