Your Role as Senior Materials Engineer

You'll represent BG&E in the UK market, focusing on materials engineering. Key responsibilities include independently drafting proposals with commercial awareness, undertaking field work, managing projects from inception, and collaborating with our engineering and drafting teams.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in construction and materials engineering
  • Masters in Materials Science and/or Engineering
  • Strong understanding of concrete technology, durability, statistical analysis, and relevant engineering standards
  • Expertise in testing tools like cover meters, Schmidt Hammer, and Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity
  • Knowledge of defects in construction materials and their repair
  • Familiarity with subcontractors and industry contacts in the UK
  • CSCS White Card, Driver's License, and relevant working at height/ confined space tickets
  • Good ties with industry bodies and partners
