About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Diagnostic Sonographer to join our team at Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust. As an Advanced Practitioner Ultrasonographer, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a wide range of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetrics, and gynaecology, to the highest professional standards.
  • Provide accurate dating based on fetal ultrasound measurements, crucial for the calculation and confirmation of the expected date of delivery, and for the planning of antenatal care and tests.
  • Participate in the provision of a screening service to detect fetal abnormalities, monitor growth in the at-risk fetus, and manage multiple pregnancies.
  • Communicate highly complex information regarding diagnosis/treatment directly with clinicians and patients.
  • Independently prioritize patients and organize workload from a variety of referral pathways to meet the needs of the service.
Requirements
  • HCPC or NMC Registration
  • Higher qualification in US practice (Masters/PGC)
  • Additional specialist courses
  • Experience in small parts/DVT/MSK scanning
  • Ability to communicate well at all levels
  • Demonstrable year clinical experience
