We are seeking an experienced and skilled GI Specialist Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Upper GI service, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients with potential and diagnosed UGI cancer.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide advanced nursing care to patients with UGI cancer, including assessment, planning, and implementation of care.
- Act as a link between the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) and other primary and secondary care providers to ensure seamless care pathways for patients.
- Contribute to policy and clinical service development within the Upper GI service, ensuring best practice and evidence-based care.
- Provide a nursing contribution to the delivery of cancer review and benign outpatient clinics.
- Support the Upper GI Consultant Surgeons in results clinics.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced nurse with a strong background in GI nursing. The ideal candidate will have:
- 1st Level live NMC registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Registered Mentor status.
- PP126/127 or equivalent.
- D32/33.
- Degree supplemented by diploma-level specialist training and experience or equivalent.
- Evidence of qualification to undertake the supervision, teaching, and assessing of students.
