Exciting Opportunity for an Experienced Ocean Freight Import Clerk

Logix Recruitment is proud to be working with a reputable Global Freight Forwarder based in Basildon to fill this exciting opportunity for an experienced Ocean Freight Import Clerk to join their friendly team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and achieve high standards in customer relations.
  • Take Ocean Freight Import Bookings.
  • Complete Import documentation.
  • Customs entries.
  • Final delivery instructions and invoicing.
  • Manage daily tasks/files, ensuring focus on company and customer objectives.
  • Process files, including all necessary documentation, costs, and sales revenue, in a timely manner.
  • Share personal knowledge of daily challenges with colleagues, as appropriate.
  • Use personal judgment and initiative to develop effective and constructive solutions to challenges and obstacles.
Requirements:
  • Conversant with all aspects of Ocean Import Freight.
  • Methodical/pro-active approach to problem-solving.
  • Good analytical and numerical skills.
  • Commercial awareness, with a can-do attitude.
  • Systems knowledge - Cargowise/Destn8/CNS/MCP.
  • Pro-active approach to problem-solving.
  • Positive, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible, with excellent written and oral communication skills.

Salary for this role will depend on experience within the Freight industry and how long you have been working within an Import Ocean Role.
