About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Domestic Assistant to join our team at the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust. As a Domestic Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain wards, offices, and public areas to a high standard
  • Work as part of the domestic service team and contribute to the wider community within the hospital setting
  • Adhere to infection prevention and control measures
  • Perform a range of duties, including cleaning patients' rooms, toilets, and bathroom areas, as well as communal areas and utility rooms
  • Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively
  • Participate in deep-cleaning operations and maintain a high level of cleanliness throughout the hospital
Requirements
  • Previous experience working in a healthcare setting
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team
  • Basic calculations and data reading skills
  • Desirable: knowledge of COSHH, cleaning protocols, and infection control
