Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and small group support to students with SEN, adapting learning materials to meet their needs.
  • Assist the classroom teacher in delivering tailored lessons, ensuring inclusivity for all students.
  • Promote positive behaviour and assist students with emotional, social, and behavioural challenges.
  • Work closely with specialists, such as speech and language therapists, educational psychologists, and other external professionals.
  • Monitor and track student progress, sharing updates with teachers, parents, and other relevant parties.
  • Encourage independence and self-confidence in students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Level 2/3 TA qualification or relevant SEN qualification.
  • Previous experience working with children with SEN, including autism, ADHD, and other learning difficulties.
  • Empathetic, patient, and committed to supporting the unique needs of SEN students.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals.
