About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Headteacher to join our team at Hillingdon Manor School. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational vision and direction of our school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the education team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality education services to our students.
    • Work closely with the Headteacher and leadership team to develop and implement school policies and procedures.
  • Curriculum Development and Implementation
    • Develop and implement curriculum plans that meet the needs of our students, including those with autism and complex needs.
    • Work with teachers and support staff to ensure the effective delivery of the curriculum.
  • Safeguarding and Welfare
    • Ensure that all safeguarding procedures are in place and followed, including the implementation of good safeguarding practices.
    • Work with the safeguarding team to ensure the welfare and well-being of all students.
  • Staff Development and Support
    • Provide coaching and mentoring to teachers and support staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to support our students.
    • Work with the leadership team to develop and implement staff development plans.
Requirements
  • Qualifications
    • Formal teaching qualification and QTS/QTLS.
  • Experience
    • Proven experience of working in a senior leadership role in a school or educational setting.
    • Experience of working with students with autism and complex needs.
  • Skills
    • Strong leadership and management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and other stakeholders.
