About the Role

We are seeking an innovative and experienced Deputy Headteacher to join our team at Hillingdon Manor School. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of our students and contributing to the school's mission to provide specialist education for pupils with autism and complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality educational leadership and support to students, teachers, and other stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with the Headteacher and leadership team to secure high standards throughout the school.
  • Develop and implement effective curriculum plans and assessments to meet the needs of students.
  • Lead and manage the teaching and learning process, ensuring that students receive a high-quality education.
  • Monitor student progress and targets, ensuring that each individual can achieve planned outcomes.
  • Work with the clinical team to monitor and support students' Behaviour Support Plans.
  • Develop and maintain effective links with external colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Ensure that appropriate standards are maintained in education, care, and clinical programs for students.
Requirements
  • Formal teaching qualification and QTS/QTLS.
  • Experience in teaching and leading in a specialist school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of autism practice and its application in education.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the leadership team and other stakeholders.
