Deputy Headteacher

We are seeking an innovative and experienced Deputy Headteacher to join our team at Hillingdon Manor School. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of our students with autism and complex needs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a high-quality education service to our students, working closely with the Head Teacher and leadership team to secure high standards throughout the school. You will be responsible for leading the development of our curriculum, managing our teaching staff, and ensuring that our students receive the best possible education.

• Lead the development of our curriculum, ensuring that it is tailored to meet the needs of our students with autism and complex needs.
• Manage a team of teaching staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are equipped to meet the needs of our students.
• Work closely with the Head Teacher and leadership team to secure high standards throughout the school.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve student outcomes, working closely with our clinical team and external partners.
• Monitor student progress and targets, ensuring that each individual student can achieve planned outcomes.
• Work positively with families, carers, and other stakeholders to ensure that our students receive the best possible support.
• Ensure that appropriate standards are maintained, especially in relation to education, care, and clinical programmes for students.
• Work collaboratively with the Head Teacher and leadership team to secure high standards in all aspects of the life of the school.
• Adhere to the Special Education Needs Code of Practice and other relevant legislation.
• Carry out teaching duties as agreed with the Head Teacher.
• Model and promote good practice across all areas.
• Support the Head Teacher in the effective deployment of staff.

We are looking for a candidate with a formal teaching qualification and QTS/QTLS. You will have experience of working with students with autism and complex needs, and a proven track record of improving student outcomes.
