Job Description

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Learning Disability Social Worker to join our team in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to work with children and families, providing high-quality social care services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial assessments and core assessments for children and families
  • Carry out Section 47 investigations to ensure the safety and well-being of children
  • Participate in the duty rota to provide support to colleagues and manage caseloads effectively
  • Initiate care proceedings when necessary to protect vulnerable children
  • Work collaboratively with multi-agency teams to support families and children
Requirements
  • Social Work England (SWE) registration is essential for this role
  • Post-qualifying experience of at least 1-2 years working as a Learning Disability Social Worker within the UK social care industry
  • Enhanced DBS/CRB clearance is required; we can assist with obtaining this for successful candidates
  • Eligibility to work in the UK is essential
