Electrical Test and Development Technician

At Alexander Dennis Limited, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Test and Development Technician to join our team in Farnborough. As a key member of our Test and Development department, you will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving electrical system faults on our buses and coaches.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and resolve electrical system faults on buses and coaches
  • Work with our T&D Engineers to build and set up vehicles with the correct components and instrumentation for testing
  • Collaborate with our Electrical Design team to develop and implement new electrical systems
  • Conduct thorough fault finding and rectification on all electrical systems and CAN network harnesses
  • Work on both high and low voltage systems for EV and hybrid vehicles

Requirements:

  • Good knowledge and experience of automotive electrical systems, ideally commercial vehicle experience
  • Able to read and understand electrical drawings and circuit diagrams
  • Able to record and update circuit diagrams
  • Experience with high voltage and CAN systems
  • Experience in fault finding and resolution
