Electrical Technician Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join our Test & Development department in Farnborough. As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing electrical systems on our vehicles, including high voltage systems and CAN network harnesses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Expert fault finding and rectification on all electrical systems and CAN network harnesses.
  • Work on both high and low voltage systems for EV and hybrid vehicles.
  • Utilize laptop-based diagnostic software for engines, gearboxes, CAN, and vehicle systems.
  • Build and modify harnesses from drawings (24V, High Voltage, and CAN).
  • Conduct thorough fault finding and rectification.

Requirements:

  • Good knowledge & experience of automotive electrical & mechanical systems, ideally commercial vehicle experience.
  • Able to read and understand electrical drawings and circuit diagrams.
  • Able to record and update circuit diagrams.
  • Experience with high voltage & CAN systems.
  • Experience in fault finding and resolution.
