Role Overview

As a Medical Assessor in Ipswich, you will play a crucial role in evaluating the medical needs of customers, providing written reports to the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP), and contributing to the decision-making process regarding support for customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate up to four customers per day, taking clinical observations and questioning to create a written report.
  • Assess customers' medical needs, considering multiple clinical issues and providing a comprehensive report.
  • Work closely with clinical tutors to receive industry-leading training and develop the skills required for the role.
  • Participate in ongoing CPD, with over 100 hours of protected time per annum, to maintain and develop your clinical expertise.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as a nurse, OT, or physiotherapist, working primarily in patient-facing roles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to different situations.
  • Highly literate and able to display attention to detail, with typing skills of at least 30 words per minute.
