Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Biomedical Scientist to join our Clinical Biochemistry team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping and improving our laboratory services, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced scientist to take on a senior leadership role within our Blood Sciences department. As a Senior Biomedical Scientist in Clinical Biochemistry, you will be responsible for leading a team of scientists and supporting the operational delivery of our 24/7 Biochemistry service across two hospital sites.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of scientists in the analysis and interpretation of clinical samples
  • Develop and implement quality management systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with our Quality Management Team to identify areas for improvement and implement changes
  • Provide training and development opportunities for staff within the section
