We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Specialist Pharmacist to join our team. This role will involve working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver specialist clinical pharmacy services. The successful candidate will have expertise in anticoagulation and respiratory medicine, as well as strong communication skills.

The salary for this position is £45,754 - £67,827 per annum (Band 7). The hourly rate is £22.35 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. To provide specialist clinical pharmacy services to patients across the trust.
  2. To develop and implement treatment protocols and guidelines for drug use within the clinical area.
  3. To supervise junior pharmacists and other healthcare professionals on aspects of drug use within the clinical area.
  4. To investigate clinical incidents, record significant clinical interventions/near misses, and ensure compliance with medicines legislation and local policies.
  5. To plan and manage own workload effectively.
  6. To participate in clinical pharmacy practice research within the clinical area and contribute to wider pharmacy research and audit.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Pharmacist Registrant of GPhC
  • MPharm or equivalent qualification
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent qualification
  • Member of a relevant Professional Development Body
