Your new company: Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is currently supporting an excellent food manufacturing business with the recruitment of a Commercial Management Accountant on a permanent basis.
Your new role: As a key member of the management team, you will be responsible for controlling the day-to-day operations of the plant, supporting across key financial areas, and acting as a business partner to a range of stakeholders throughout the company.
Key duties:
- Monthly management reporting with supporting analysis to inform business decisions
- Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Business partnering with key internal departments (sales, supply chain, production, etc.) to drive financial performance and growth
- Analyzing production activity and performance to identify areas for improvement
- Supporting the budgeting and forecasting process to ensure alignment with business objectives
- Cashflow management and monitoring to ensure liquidity and stability
- Ownership of the product costing process and supporting new product development to drive revenue growth
- Monitoring of costs, variances, supply chain costs, and G&A costs to optimize financial performance
- Supporting colleagues in Capex requests and investments to ensure alignment with business objectives
What you'll need to succeed:
- Qualified or part-qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA) or QBE
- Experience of managing day-to-day processes and ensuring relevant controls are in place
