About the Company:

Hays Senior Finance is supporting an excellent food manufacturing business in Evesham with the recruitment of a Commercial Management Accountant on a permanent basis.

About the Role:

You will be a key member of the management team, responsible for controlling the day-to-day operations of the plant, supporting key financial areas, and acting as a business partner to various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monthly management reporting with supporting analysis
  • Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Business partnering with internal departments (sales, supply chain, production) to drive financial performance
  • Analyzing production activity and performance
  • Supporting the budgeting and forecasting process
  • Cashflow management and monitoring
  • Ownership of the product costing process and supporting new product development
  • Monitoring costs, variances, supply chain costs, and G&A costs
  • Supporting colleagues in Capex requests and investments follow-up
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Qualified or part-qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA) or QBE
  • Experience in managing day-to-day processes and ensuring relevant controls are in place
  • Manufacturing background and comfort working in a fast-moving business (costing experience highly advantageous)
  • Commercially minded with the confidence to challenge the status quo
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build excellent relationships
  • Highly proficient in Excel (XLookUps, VLookUps, Pivot Tables) and data analysis/manipulation
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP an advantage)

You will be office-based for the first month or two but once settled, you will be able to work from home 2 days per week.
