Senior Staff Nurse

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Staff Nurse to join our dynamic team at the Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre. As a Senior Nurse in our Chemotherapy Setting, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our service.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage patient care teams, ensuring excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Manage patient care according to agreed policies and protocols, taking appropriate action and seeking advice from other members of the multi-disciplinary team as necessary.
- Plan and manage staffing levels and skill mix to reflect the workload and meet the needs of patients.
- Actively participate in and facilitate ward or departmental projects, audits, and quality initiatives in collaboration with senior staff to ensure they meet standards and targets.
- Assist in the annual appraisal process.
- Demonstrate the ability to access up-to-date evidence and critically analyze it to inform care practices.

Requirements- Current NMC Registration.
- SACT trained and has current UKONS competency.
- Willingness/Evidence to work towards Master's level academic study.
- Qualification in Teaching, Assessing, and Mentoring (desirable).
- Appropriate proven leadership and management experience.
- Appropriate post-registration experience in nursing and speciality.
- Proven commitment and experience, evidence in teaching.
- Experience of undertaking research or audit projects (desirable).
- Experience as a Practice Supervisor/Assessor (desirable).
- Evidence of commitment to research-based practice or evidence of project work undertaken (desirable).
- Organisation and management skills.
