Job Opportunity:
We are seeking a talented Apprentice Building/Quantity Surveyor to join our team at ZipRecruiter. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality construction solutions on projects across the civil infrastructure spectrum.
About the Role:
As an Apprentice Building/Quantity Surveyor, you will collaborate with site/project managers and stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives. You will prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for projects in the water sector, procure materials, subcontractors, and services while ensuring value for money, and monitor project costs and budgets throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:

- Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and risk management strategies.
- Prepare and evaluate subcontractor and supplier contracts.
- Provide accurate financial reporting and forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, with a focus on Water, Civil Infrastructure or M&E.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, and cost management.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools.
