About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Imaging Specialist to join our team at American Family Care, Inc. This role is responsible for providing exceptional patient care and diagnostic imaging services in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Greet patients with compassion and explain procedures clearly.
  • Position patients correctly for diagnostic imaging procedures.
  • PRACTICE ALARA radiation protection techniques.
  • Process images, review for quality control, and prepare images for reading by physicians and radiologists.
  • Operate digital and non-digital diagnostic imaging equipment, ensuring compliance with approved radiology techniques and policies.
  • Aid providers with prescribed treatments as needed.
  • Perform routine maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and make minor repairs on equipment.
  • Complete forms and maintain records of work performed.
Qualifications

This position requires an Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year of related experience and/or training. In some states, Medical Assistant Certification or registry, Practical Nursing License, EMT or Paramedic certification may be acceptable.
