About the Role
Seed Recruitment Consultants ltd is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Lead to join their team. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality residential care to residents, ensuring their dignity, independence, and choice are respected.
Job Purpose
The primary objective of this position is to assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate a personalized standard of care that meets the individual needs of residents and exceeds expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional care to all residential residents, maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
- Oversee the care being provided, identify shortfalls, and rectify any issues with staff performance.
- Audit, action, and review standards within residential units to ensure compliance with statutory and legal requirements.
- Effectively lead the team, delegating tasks and providing guidance where necessary.
- Formulate, implement, and regularly maintain residential care plans, prioritizing the highest level of personal care and attention for each resident.
- Understand and comply with relevant Health & Safety regulations, COSHH guidelines, and the Care Standards Act, ensuring accurate reporting procedures are followed.
- Provide training and development opportunities for colleagues, assisting them to reach their full potential.
- Maintain the highest levels of personal hygiene and infection control measures throughout the home.
- Keep accurate records, collaborating with residents, relatives, and staff to ensure timely care planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Monitor, dispense, and administer medication as prescribed, accurately documenting records in line with current legislative guidelines.
- Oversee effective stock control and ordering of resident-prescribed medication and medical products, adhering to current legislative guidelines.
- Maintain confidentiality of resident personal information at all times, respecting their rights and dignity.
- Participate actively in care team meetings, resident review meetings, and induction processes, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of annual leave, sickness, complaints, accidents, and Daily Census to management, following established Company Policy.
- Deputize for the deputy manager in their absence when required.
Salary Information
The estimated salary for this position is £12.5 - £13 per hour, reflecting the importance of the role and the qualifications required.
