About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Occupational Therapy team at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust in London.

This exciting opportunity will provide a unique chance to support our team of Occupational Therapists in delivering clinical and administrative technical support.

Job Responsibilities
  • To provide specific, skilled support work to aid the rehabilitation of adults and children admitted under Spinal Injuries Unit.
  • To offer administrative support as defined by the team, commensurate with one's level of experience.
  • To follow a structured induction and training period to meet competency levels.
  • To assist with the teaching and supervision of exercises and functional activities, individually and in groups.
  • To maintain stocks of specialist equipment, including wheelchairs, and perform regular duties to ensure the smooth operation of the department.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Able to communicate effectively with a variety of people.
  • Able to handle equipment within Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Able to assess risk in relation to field of activity and identify necessary interventions.
  • Able to present information clearly and logically.
  • Able to take a common sense approach to problem solving.
  • Able to work flexibly to meet service needs.
  • Able to build constructive relationships.
  • Basic IT skills - competence in email, internet searches, word processing, and spreadsheets.
