Job Title: Bookkeeper

At Square Peg Associates Ltd, we are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper / Assistant Accountant with a minimum of 3 years' experience to join our team.

The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of transactional accounting duties, including the preparation of accounts to trial balance, Sales ledger and Purchase ledger experience, and Bookkeeping knowledge and experience.

  • Responsible for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, managing all invoice related queries with confidence.
  • Making BACS payments, and following up on outstanding payments to ensure cash flow is maintained (Credit Control).
  • Bank Reconciliations, ensuring that the financial records align with bank statements.
  • Responsible for the accurate allocation of all customer invoices and receipts.
  • VAT process, prepare and submit VAT returns.
  • Processing supplier queries.
  • General admin duties and other ad-hoc duties.

The role is office based with hours of 8am - 4.30pm Mon - Thursday, 1.30pm finish on a Friday. Salary is dependent upon the level of experience, circa £28,000 - £30,000 per annum.
