Job Title: Service Engineer Fire and Security Birmingham

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Engineer to join our Fire and Security Systems team in Birmingham. As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fire alarm and security systems in various locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend to calls for maintenance and rectify faults on the first visit where possible.
  • Carry out a rolling programme of preventative maintenance visits to ensure systems are functioning correctly.
  • Collect and record site configuration information and maintain accurate and timely records.
  • Provide cover on an out-of-hours basis on a rotating basis and commission small projects when required.
  • Ensure audits are carried out of quality procedures and provide training to customers and colleagues as needed.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience installing and servicing a wide product base of access control systems, CCTV systems, and intruder alarm systems.
  • Experience of installing and servicing fire alarm systems, ideally GENT based.
  • IT qualification and/or Electrical/Electronic qualification.
  • Broad technical IT knowledge, including installing various Windows Operating Systems and networking.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure.
