About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician Apprentice to join our team at Associated Asphalt Contracting Ltd. As a Laboratory Technician Apprentice, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our construction materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the testing and sampling of various materials to be used on site.
  • Maintain a safe and tidy workspace and ensure the efficient running of the laboratory.
  • Maintain quality standards by following Company and accrediting bodies quality procedures and protocol.
  • Record sample details on test record sheets and laboratory software.
  • Calibrate testing equipment and report any faults and damages and regular checks set out by management.
  • Support inspections and auditing.
  • Investigate material-related complaints, providing solutions and feedback to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Keep up-to-date records of company, legal, industry changes to policy and regulations.
  • Work to a high level of H&S, environmental compliance, and quality assurance.

Eligibility:

To be eligible for this apprenticeship, you must be over 18+, not in full-time education, have lived in the UK for 3 years, and have the right to work in the UK. A driving license is preferred but not required. You must also pass K10/Heathrow security vetting and reside in one of the following areas: Hillingdon, Ealing, Hounslow, Spelthorne, Elmbridge, Runnymede, Windsor & Maidenhead, Slough, or South Bucks.
