Audit Quality Senior Manager

Key Responsibilities
  • Audit Quality and Root Cause Analysis
    • Develop and oversee the implementation of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies for internal and external inspections, involving the development of approaches, evidence gathering, analysis, remediation planning, and stakeholder management.
    • Communicate RCA findings and recommendations through written reports, policies, and guidance, as well as firm-wide training sessions.
    • Collaborate with the Audit Quality Director, Head of Technical, and Audit Policy Group (APG) to formulate and implement the firm's audit quality strategy and plans, including RCA sections.
    • Consider outcomes from RCA and quality improvement processes, and liaise with Learning & Development and the Audit Methodology Team regarding guidance, methodology, and policy improvements.
  • Quality Review and Technical Support
    • Assist with the performance of quality reviews, including hot and cold file reviews, Engagement Quality Reviews (EQRs), and thematic reviews.
    • Provide technical support and guidance on audit and audit methodology.
    • Refer contentious issues to the Audit Quality Director and Head of Technical as necessary.

Requirements

  • Differentiate and identify root causes and causal factors from observations in respect of relevant areas of improvement addressed by root cause analysis.
  • Devising remedial actions to relevant quality shortcomings identified by reviews and root cause analysis.
