Job Details

We are seeking a Teaching and Learning Assistant to join our team at a secondary school in Derbyshire. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to provide support to students, promoting their academic and pastoral progress.

Responsibilities

  • Support teaching staff with strategies to manage challenging behaviour.
  • Develop and deliver group workshops for students identified with Behavioural, Social and Emotional Difficulties (BSED).
  • Arrange and develop 1-1 mentoring programs to support students in managing their own classroom behavior and learning.
  • Ensure pupils receive regular and constructive feedback with regards to their progress.
  • Collaborate with Alternative Education Providers, parents and teaching staff on student progress.
