Job Description:

We are seeking a Theatre Productivity Specialist to join our team at University College London Hospitals. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and organized individual to contribute to improving theatre productivity by ensuring the accuracy of data on Epic, producing reports, and presenting data to clinical teams.

The successful candidate will have experience working as an administrator in an NHS or private organization, excellent communication skills, and the ability to take instruction from multiple sources. They will also be expected to lead on projects related to theatre productivity and attend meetings with sub-specialty teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Check accuracy of Epic data from previous days operating
  • Review extra session activity for finance reporting purposes
  • Lead on the cancellation on the day meetings to identify learning and areas for improvement
  • Analysing and collating data on key theatre productivity metrics such as closed and unused sessions, OTD cancellations and underutilised lists
  • Review the above metrics for data quality issues
  • Creating theatre productivity meeting slides for meetings with sub-specialty teams to enable improvements to be made
  • Lead on projects relating to theatre productivity
  • Attend and provide administrative support to theatre related meetings such as huddle and 6-4-2
  • Represent the theatres team at Governance and Epic related meetings

Requirements:

  • Expert knowledge of administrative procedures acquired through degree or equivalent training and previous experience of working in an administrative environment
  • Awareness of the requirement to maintain confidentiality, and knowledge of the Data Protection Act
  • Experience of working in a non-routine environment, with demonstrable evidence of problem-solving and resolving issues as they arise.
  • Experience of supervising a team of staff, OR Experience of project management and change methodology
