**Head of Play Development Opportunity**

We are looking for an exceptional individual to lead our Play Development team. As a senior member of the National Theatre's New Work Department, you will play a key role in shaping the theatre's artistic direction and contributing to the delivery of new work.

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned theatre professional with experience in literary development, commissioning, and dramaturgy. You will be responsible for:

  • Managing the commissioning process and developing new work
  • Collaborating with senior artists and delivering productions at scale
  • Leading the dramaturgical team and fostering connections between NT Studio and main building
  • Developing creative teams and nurturing talent

With a strong background in theatre production and a keen eye for emerging talent, you will help shape the National Theatre's future artistic programme. Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
