Support Worker for Adult Learners

Job Summary:
Casual Learning Support Assistants are required to support adult learners in community venues throughout Accrington and Nelson. Key Responsibilities:
- Providing high-quality learning support to individuals or small groups of learners with special educational needs and disabilities.
- Recording, reviewing, and adapting support strategies throughout the academic year as necessary.
- Assisting learners to use specialist equipment and promoting the use of assistive technology to enhance independence.
- Maintaining up-to-date records of support delivered and its impact on the learner.
Requirements:
- English and Maths qualifications at a minimum of GCSE Grade 4 or Level 2.
- Qualification related to SEND or Teaching and Learning support, or the willingness to work towards it.
- Level 2 qualification in IT or evidence of good practical IT skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of various additional needs and their impact on an individual's capacity to learn.
- A flexible and student-centred approach.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Driving licence, access to own vehicle, and insurance for business purposes.
