Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic teacher to join our team at Teaching Vacancies. As a Class Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to students with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) and Severe Learning Disabilities (SLD).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assess and track student progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address them.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning community.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and stay up-to-date with best practices in special education.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (Degree 2:1+ preferred)
  • Experience working with students with PMLD and SLD
  • Strong understanding of special education principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students
