Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Development Manager to lead our energy storage sales efforts in the UK and Italy. As a key member of our European growth markets team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing strategic relationships, and ensuring predictable and profitable sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead energy storage sales opportunities from initial contact to contract signing
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve sales targets and growth objectives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless sales execution and project delivery
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities and trends
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the energy storage market, including industry trends, technologies, and competitors
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry developments to ensure compliance and competitiveness
  • Manage and maintain accurate sales data and reporting to inform business decisions
  • Develop and implement sales training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of sales teams

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in the utility-scale renewable energy industry, with a strong preference for candidates with prior battery energy storage experience
  • Proven track record of leading high-performing sales teams and driving sales growth
  • Strong understanding of energy storage technologies, market trends, and industry developments
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Fluency in Italian is required, with Spanish language skills a plus
