Autism Educational Assistant Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Autism Educational Assistant to join our team in Sheffield, providing vital support to pupils with autism and other special educational needs.

About the Role

Our school caters to pupils with a range of special educational needs, including severe learning difficulties and associated disabilities, offering a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing individualised support to pupils with autism and other special educational needs, helping to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
  • Assisting teachers in the classroom, promoting a positive attitude towards learning and encouraging pupils to reach their full potential.

Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with autism and other special educational needs in a similar role or a transferable role.
  • Confidence and a proactive approach to supporting children with diverse needs, with a DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
