About the Role

The Discipline Team Lead will be responsible for managing a team of approximately 10 to 14 Engineers / Designers of various levels to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of the Electrical and Instrument department. This is a hybrid role that can be based anywhere in the UK, with mobility and travel to customer sites and face-to-face meetings with colleagues expected.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of Engineers / Designers to deliver high-quality results
  • Develop and implement effective team management strategies
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve business objectives
  • Ensure compliance with HMG Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • ISCED Level 6 / Bachelors (minimum) or Level 7 / Masters (preferred) degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent professional experience
  • Chartership with a relevant professional body / Professional Engineer License or equivalent is an advantage
  • Extensive broad and deep experience of engineering delivery in one or more relevant industry sectors
  • Expert level experience and understanding of discipline engineering tools and processes
  • Broad understanding of the business drivers for relevant industry sector clients
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to anticipate and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders
  • Able to attract top talent to meet current and future business needs
  • Experienced in developing talent using coaching, mentoring and formal performance processes
