Electrical and Instrument Discipline Team Lead

Wood Digital Consulting is seeking an experienced Electrical and Instrument Discipline Team Lead to join our EMEA Systems Integration business. This is a key role that will play a crucial part in our continued growth plans.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of approximately 10 to 14 Engineers / Designers of various levels to maximise the effectiveness and efficiency of the Electrical and Instrument department. This is a hybrid role that can be based anywhere in the UK, with mobility and travel to customer sites and face-to-face meetings with colleagues expected.

Applicants must be able to pass the HMG Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check.

Key Qualifications:
  • ISCED Level 6 / Bachelors (minimum) or Level 7 / Masters (preferred) degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent professional experience
  • Chartership with a relevant professional body / Professional Engineer License or equivalent is an advantage

  • Extensive broad and deep experience of engineering delivery in one or more relevant industry sectors
  • Expert level experience and understanding of discipline engineering tools and processes
  • Broad understanding of the business drivers for relevant industry sector clients
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to anticipate and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders
  • Able to attract top talent to meet current and future business needs
  • Experienced in developing talent using coaching, mentoring and formal performance processes
