Senior Accountancy Leadership Opportunity at Rutherford Cross

We are seeking a seasoned finance professional to lead our Edinburgh-based not-for-profit client's finance function on an initial 4-6 month period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Budgeting Process: Develop and manage the annual budget, conduct regular monthly monitoring and reporting.
  • Treasury Planning and Execution: Oversee Treasury Plan development, commission independent advice, and progress borrowing and loan requirements.
  • Contribute to Strategic Planning: Participate in the development and review of strategic plans to drive financial success.
  • Support Colleagues: Provide financial planning support for current and future activities, developing forecasting tools and reporting systems.
  • Audit Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact with External Auditors, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Team Management: Ensure the finance function and team operate efficiently, providing high-quality services.
  • Financial Reporting: Produce timely and accurate budgets and accounts, effective treasury management, and a financial management and planning service.
  • Compliance and Governance: Maintain high standards of financial information presentation to senior management and the Board.
  • Risk Identification and Mitigation: Identify and manage finance-related risks in the Board Assurance Framework and Risk Registers.

This role offers a salary of circa £90,000 p.a. or day rate equivalent, making it a very attractive opportunity for a qualified and experienced finance leader.
